J-E-J-E-M-ON

Urban Dictionary (www.urbandictionary.com) defines JEJEMON as:

1) Usually seen around social networking sites such as Friendster and Multiply, jejemons are individuals with low IQs who spread around their idiocy on the web by tYpFing LyK diZS jejejeje, making all people viewing their profile raise their eyebrows out of annoyance. Normal people like you and me must take a Bachelor of Arts in Jejetyping in order to understand said individuals, as deciphering their text would cause a lot of frustration and hair pulling.

CAUTION: THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE BREEDING! THEY CAN BE SEEN WRECKING GRAMMATICAL HAVOC ON FACEBOOK TOO!

2) Jejemons are not just confined to trying-hard Filipino gangsters and emos. A Jejemon can also include a variety of Latino-Hispanic fags who enjoy typing "jejejejeje" in a wider context, much to the disdain of their opponents in an internet MMORPG game such as Ragnarok and DOTA.

3) Basically anyone with a low tolerance in correct punctuation, syntax and grammar. Jejemons are usually hated or hunted down by Jejebusters or the grammar nazi to eradicate their grammatical ways.

So, that's what they're called!!! Apparently they have a name for those creatures. Ugh... I've seen lots of them in Facebook and it's embarrassing that they're in my contacts. Should I delete them???

I'd forgive the teens who write their status like this. But people over 25 shouldn't be texting or typing like this anymore! I should do screenshots of all jejemons and post it here...

MANILA, Philippines—It will be a long weekend this week after Malacanang on Wednesday announced that May 3 will be a non-working holiday in the country so as to give Filipinos a chance to observe Labor Day.

Labor Day or May 1 falls on a Saturday this year but in keeping with its holiday economics policy, Malacanang has decided to move the observation of the holiday on the nearest working day, which is May 3 or this Monday, Executive Secretary Leandro Mendoza said. (read rest of the article here)

GLEE does Madonna

The first two episodes are okay. I'm still a bit iffy with the new story line and where it's going. But I love that they did Madonna! She's an icon and the gay side of me loves her to bits! So far so good for Glee.

I'm waiting for the "Barney" (Neil Patrick Harris) episode.

Gosh!

How does a nation move on after this?!

SMOLENSK, Russia – The crash of an aging Russian airliner ravaged the top levels of Poland's military, political and church elite Saturday, killing the Polish president and dozens of other dignitaries as they traveled to a ceremony commemorating a slaughter that has divided the two nations for seven decades. Holy Week '10

Four years ago, what we thought was just a short Holy Week jaunt became a tradition for us friends. For the past four years we do the Visita Iglesia. We choose one province and map out seven churches to visit. On our first year, we took the Rizal-Laguna route. The next year we went to Bulacan. Last year, although we didn't get to go with our friends, they went to Pampanga. This year, we planned to go to Ilocos but due to logistical constraints, we ended up doing the Manila churches instead.

My bff mapped out our route starting with San Sebastian, then Quiapo. We were suppose to go to Binondo next but we got lost along the way and ended up in Intramuros. We did San Agustin and Manila Cathedral next, both being in Intramuros anyway. The next church was then Binondo and then Malate. It was so late by the time we finished Malate church so we had dinner in the area. People were so tired (we had balikbayans with us and my 15-month old son) so we decided to do Sta. Maria Della Strada in Katipunan instead.

Quiapo Church
San Agustin Church
Malate Church

I thought it would be easier to do Visita Iglesia here in Manila but it was more chaotic! There's traffic and more people! We didn't get to go inside Manila Cathedral because it was already overflowing up to the steps outside the church. But it was still fun and the churches were really beautiful! It was my first time to visit most of the churches.

Hopefully next year we can do a real road trip already.
